I am a garden professional in the public gardens industry (APGA). My focus is on plant diversity, conservation, education, and research. I have a passion for systems – botanizing, birding, and exploring. When building gardens I focus on regional natives, habitat creation, and sustainable management.
I have managed community gardens, worked in nurseries and the landscaping industry, worked as a freelance gardener and garden designer, and have generally been enthralled with natural systems for most of my life. My passion has resulted in the accumulation of knowledge and quick tips that I love to share with my fellow enthusiasts.

I would say that professionalism, wide-ranging knowledge, and generosity are key traits that I’ve encountered in my dealing with Julianna.
A part of my backyard is on a slope, mostly in the shade, and I have been wondering how best to use the space.
Hiring Julianna for a consultation was the answer to my dilemma.
She came, checked the soil, asked questions, listened to my preferences, the history with some of the plants already there, my goals, and took plenty of pictures.
The report that she provided was very well thought and organized. She included solutions, options, reasons for the choices offered, as well as additional overall important considerations to help my backyard thrive!
It has allowed me to understand what would work best to make it look gorgeous and how to maintain it!
I look forward to working with Julianna in the future and have already recommended her to my friends.![]()
